2008 Muddy Buddy Race

By Paul | August 31, 2008

I was going to post pictures from this race few weeks ago, but I was busy with other little projects and I’ve put this aside. Recently I was trying to organize some files on my hard drive and I came across the Muddy Buddy Race pictures. I thought I’d rather share them with my readers than keep them buried somewhere on my hard drive. Some of you probably saw the pictures on Ania’s blog, but I have added a few more.

Team “Taboo”

Some runners were very creative with their outfits:

Time to take a plunge and wash the dirt off.

Stephanie and Dave | wedding

By Paul | August 30, 2008

Stephanie and Dave are such a fun couple. Monica and I had a great time photographing their wedding in Valparaiso, IN. They were so open to all our ideas, they even climbed the tree for us to have some unique photos. As a photographer, you really can’t ask for more ;-).

While Monica was photographing Stephanie getting ready, I had some time to get to know Dave and his friends. We did couple relaxed portraits in Ogden Gardens where the wedding ceremony took place.

And then a beautiful bride arrived!

Remember when I said they even climbed the tree for photos. Here’s the result:

After the ceremony and quick photo session in the park, we headed toward reception location - Old Town Banquets in Valparaiso.

First dance.

Please check Monica’s blog for more pictures and a slide show where Stephanie actually sings the song that was used in it. How cool is that? Couple days after the wedding Monica did the “trash the dress” session with Stephanie and Dave. You can see some great photos here.

2008 Supra Moomba Owners Reunion | American Legion in Fox Lake

By Paul | August 29, 2008

This year Ultimate Wake Watersports at Chicago Sea Ray pulled together another successful event at American Legion in Fox Lake, IL - 2008 Supra Moomba Owners Reunion. It was great to meet and hang out with all people who share the same passion for water sports and boats from Skiers Choice.

In addition to free food, drinks (courtesy of Famous Dave’s), games, product demos and raffles, Ultimate Wake crew brought one of the best wakeboarding coaches - Kyle Schmidt! Kyle had a wakeboard demo session in the morning and then he was hanging out with riders and guests giving autographs and answering technical questions. He is really an incredible coach and a great person to be around. No matter at what level you are as a rider, Kyle can definitely help you to improve your skills. Check out his best selling wakeboarding instructional dvd - THE BOOK, or better, visit The Wakeboard Camp in Claremont, FL to learn from some of the biggest names in the industry.

Here’s just a few pictures from this even that I wanted to share:

Custom sound solutions from Sound X.

The belly flop contest was fun to watch :-).

Annalise and Charles | wedding

By Paul | August 20, 2008

Annelise and Charles are college sweethearts who finally decided to say “I do” couple weeks ago. I had a pleasure to photograph their wedding together with Roger Beck. While Roger was capturing “getting ready” moments at Hotel Sax in Downtown Chicago, I spent some time with Charles and his friends at Old Town Ale House.

Annelise and Charles had a very intimate wedding and were surrounded by their close friends and family.

Married!!!

Some details:

The cake made by Swedish Bakery was REALLY yummy!!!

The ceremony took place at The Cliff Dwellers Club on Michigan Avenue. This place has one of the best views in the city. Here’s a view from the terrace.

Kuba and lollipop

By Paul | August 15, 2008

We went to check on some new locations for an outdoor photo session in our forest preserve. Ania dusted off her film camera and decided to photograph some wild flowers. We took Kuba with us. He had so much fun playing with a lollipop that I couldn’t resist and took couple pictures of him. He was so funny and happy. I’m glad I was able to capture these short, joyful moments in our life.
